Tell me about UNITY

Audio and voice recording >>
Vincent Van Gogh

This painting is called Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. Vincent van Gogh wrote over 800 letters in his lifetime to family and friends. The majority of these letters were to his brother Theo Van Gogh. Starry Night is one of the most well known images in modern culture as well as being one of the most replicated and sought after prints. He was a master of line and color but also UNITY. Summarize in 3 lines or more how Van Gogh has unified this painting.  Homework is due Friday, March 28th

Unity is an art work that is packed together very well by colors, shape, texture, and movement.

He shows it by his lines and the town and the trees i think it looks like his home town wich makes it unity.

In the painting Stary Night it uses colors. The painting uses mostly shades of blue. IT uses movement in the painting also. Personally I start with the swirl to the side into the middle of the painting, Then the moon, and then the green trees.

Looking at the painting stary night,I see that van Gogh uses a lot of color and lines. I see that the lines offen swirl into circles. Right when I look at the painting I look at the white swirls in the blue sky, becaue they seem to pop out with the contrast agianst the blue.

The unity in this painting is the color blue and all of the curving lines.

he used unity in his painting by the swirles. Also with the paint brush strokes. the cool colors unify the surface and brings everything together in this painting.

this panting has a cold color with swirls that just tie your eye in it with a cool water effect on it

The lines swoop through the picture. There are more blue colors on the picture then other colors. The houses are to closer together to show unity.

How the houses are close together then the rest is unity. Unity is shown in the lings in the painting.

He uses unity by all of his details he puts in his painting. Also by the sky and the swirls. Then the town and how he used details in it

What bring out the unity is the mountains and the winds. The reason why the mountain important is because it big and it reflect over the city.the reason why the winds is imported when you look at the picture for the first time that you look at it that is the first thing you see because it center where you look at it.So he used unity in his painting from the church and wind and stars.
