One of the principles used in this piece, is pattern because the red and yellow around the elephant repeats. Another principle used is contrast, because the black elephant stands out against the red and yellow background. An element in this piece is line, like the lines in the background of the elephant or the lines that curve and bend to make up the pattern behind the bird. Another element used is color, because each of the colors contrast against at least one of the other colors.

Pattern is used in the art work by useing the red and the yellow strips over and over. Another principle is Unity because the elephante pulls the art work together. 1 element of art is Line because there is alot of lines through out the background behind the elephante. Another 1 is color because the artist uses alot of black and yellow through the piece.

It has color because there are warm colors in the back. There are shapes because of the elephant that is organic. There is pattern because of the stripes.
It has strong contrast because of the color of the elephant next to the stripes.
