Tattoo Designs and Art

Hello 8th Grade,
Take a look at the tattoo below. The artist has created an area of emphasis. Where is the emphasis and how do you know this? This tattoo also has movement. What path does your eye travel? How has the artist used Unity and Pattern?  Homework is due Friday, March 20.

The emphasis is at the bottom of the tattoo is in the tear drop shape. This is because in my eyes its the one place I keep getting drawn back too when looking at it. The movement in the piece works from the tattoos the cover the shoulder down the back and to the end of the tattoo. The artist uses unity by using the same general color theme. Pattern is used by repeating a similar shape throughout the piece.

For me the area of emphasis is at the bottom of the tattoo where the dark centered flower design is,I feel like this is the area of emphasis because it contrast with the rest of the piece which is bright colored. The movement in this piece is where it looks almost like there is a shooting star coming off from the emphasis point, (minus the fact that it isn't a star). There is unity in this piece, because the main color used in this tattoo is the color blue.

The emphasis is in the middle of the back where there is a large curving figure connecting to two circular designs. The artist deigned the tattoo's movement diagonally across the persons back.

My eyes go to the two white spots because they really stand out from the blue. My eyes travel from the bottom to the shoulder because it curves over the shoulder. Pattern is existent in the repeating circles and lines and shapes. Unity exists because it is all blue.

the emphasis is around the black flower because its the only large black spot in the area. movement then goes to bouncing to flower to flower, and then leads back and thats because of the curving designs. tatto is unified through radial designs, the pattern is repeating circles.
